Diaper Wipe Solution #1

This is the most basic of recipes for diaper wipes. My daughter only uses wipes occasionally, so I usually use a spray bottle with water & Tea Tree Oil to spray on wipe clothes when needed.

You can store the solution in a 4 oz. spray bottle and spray it onto the wipe at the time of the diaper changing or you can store the wipes and the solution in the same tight fitting, leak proof container.

Originally, I used washcloths; however, they were leaving too much lint on the cloth diapers after washing. I changed to using cloth napkins that I cut in quarters and then sewed. Now, diapers & wipes are washed together without any problems.

You can store the solution in a 4 oz. spray bottle and spray it onto the wipe at the time of the diaper changing or you can store the wipes and the solution in the same tight fitting, leak proof container.

Amount for a leak proof container:
1/2 roll of Paper Towel, several washcloths, or several cloth napkins.
2 cups Distilled Water
1 plastic container that the rolls fit in
Optional: 2-5 drops Tree Tree oil (anti-bacterial)

Amount for a 4 oz. spray bottle:
1/2 roll of Paper Towel, several washcloths, or several cloth napkins.
1/4 C. Distilled Water
Optional: 1 drop Tree Tree oil (anti-bacterial)

If using paper towel, cut paper towel in half with a serrated knife to make short rolls. Remove the cardboard from the center of the roll.

Add Tea Tree oil to water & shake.

If using a spray bottle, shake before each use.

If using a container for wipes and solution, put one half roll of paper towels in a container and pour liquid mixture over it. Wipes will easily dispense from the center of roll.
