You can also get free samples from most pediatrician, OB, or family practice offices. I always ask whenever I go just to have a few on hand.

but if you want to breastfeed, better skip this completely. Next to lack of support from father/family this is the number one thing that interferes with supply and suck. If you don’t have artificial baby milk in the house you are more likely to persevere with bfeeding and seek help if you run into problems. Also, free samples violate the World Health Organization’s Code on the marketing of artificial baby milk.
There are times when supplements are medically indicated, and when I was an LLL leader there were times when I advised them, but most babies do not need them.
