How to get $265 worth of new children’s clothing for $31.00
Every year at JCP at about the 3rd Monday in July and the 3rd Monday in January children’s clothing is clearance down. Markdowns are determined by the store and not corporate. So you could go to another mall and they haven’t marked down the clothing yet, or they may not mark the clothing down as much.
I did my bi-annual pilgrimage to JC Penny tonight and was delighted with my savings. All toddler summer clothing was marked down to $1.48. Almost all of the birth 24 mo clothing was also marked down to $1.24 (some Carter’s clothing is the exception and layette sets). This was a better sale than what my previous JCP store in Westland did. I think they only marked down certain items to $1.48 and the nicer clothing brands were still about $3.00 - $6.00 each.
For the larger sizes it was a selection of summer clothing marked down; however, I think that everything will be thinned out by tomorrow because people were purchasing items w/o really looking at what they were getting.
So the bottom line, I purchased over $265.00 worth of clothing and only paid just over $31.00.
Target has also marked down a few summer clothing items to 75% off. Corporate usually determines the markdown amount and day, so Target is a bit more regulated across state lines
