Mei Tai Baby Carrier Review.

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

I looked through many Mei Tai patterns and choose Beth’s Mei Tai (http://thosemartins.com/bmt/) because it had a nice head support feature, the pattern gave the layout for cutting and the pattern was all straight lines.
This was an easy pattern to follow (I am an avid sewer, but I would suspect even novice sewers could sew [...]

Nighttime Cloth Diapering for a Heavy Wetter

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

The light went on a few months ago and I realized that cloth diapers at night can be a reality; however a breathable diaper at night is virtually impossible for my daughter.

Great uses for Sam’s Club MicroFiber Towels

Monday, July 31st, 2006

If you want to try a less expensive soaker for diapers, Sam’s Club has “Micro Fiber Detailers Best Towels” in a 25 count for $9.58. 1 bag of 25 towels is about the same price as about 3 micro-fiber soakers, and I have found them to work just as good. For about $.40 each it is worth the try to see if the “Ultra Absorbent” towels work for you.

Making a Baby Sling

Monday, July 24th, 2006

I recently made my first baby sling. I put my 22 1/2 lb. 19 month old in it, and she didn’t break it. I call it a success; however I will make a few changes on the next one.

Double strollers Weights with Open & Closed Dimsnsions

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006

My friend was looking for a tandem stroller so I started to research them for myself as well.

What I found was that there was a lot of information, but it was not in a nice neat location with all the data I wanted. I wanted the dimension of the strollers folded so I would know if it would fit in my trunk. I also wanted to know what the open dimensions were to know if it could fit through a doorway. I also wanted to know what the extra features were so I could take in all the possibilities of all the strollers out there.

Low sew/ No Sew stroller drink holder… for Mom & Child

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

I think I found an inexpensive and good solution for a stroller drink holder for mom and cup & snack holder for baby.

I don’t have a bottle holder on the Peg P3 nor does Belle have a cup holder. I also hate the parent cup holder on my Graco Single and double strollers. They do not seem to be deep enough for a water bottle. The water bottle either falls out or jostles around excessively making me hold the bottle the whole time I am walking.

Porrtable Playards Weight

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

After purchasing our play yard we realized that the weight should have been a deciding factor because we travel with it enough to be a pain in the back. However, after some quick research I realized our play yard is one of the lighter ones found at retail stores, but it isn’t the lightest.

The ultimate lightweight play yard is the Compass Light & Portable Playard & Bassinet. It can set up in less than 1 minute and it has the bassinet. At only 21.5 lb. with the Bassinet, this is the best play yard for the famliy on the go. With the price difference only being in the shipping cost of less than $20.00 for the lower 48, it is more than worth the extra money for the lighter weight play yard.
