The end of morning sickness- B Complex including B12

April 15th, 2008

For my first 2 pregnancies I had terrible morning sickness. I was constantly woosey and generally did not feel well.. I on;y puked a few times, but constantly wished I did hoping I would feel better. At about 12 weeks for baby #2 my CNM suggested taking a B complex with B6. I purchased a bottle of super B complex with B6, B12 & a variety of other Bs. I immediately got better; however I attributed this to being at 12 weeks.

Blog Action Day- Decrapifying your life to be greener.

October 15th, 2007

Blog Action Day- Decrapifying your life to be greener.

To steal a word from my husband, I strive to decrapify my life. My husband and I both have similar goals for our lives, families and living in general. We are on the same page in the same book for many things, but when it comes to crap, it seems like we are on the same page, but in different books. I try to take crap out of my immediate environment literally; while he strives to take crap (ware) out of his and others environment virtually through the PCDecrapifier.

Siblings Sleeping together in the same room

October 8th, 2007

Our girls, 2 1/2 years old and 9 months old , just started sleeping together through the night in the same room. They both have their own beds; however we had been having the baby sleep in our room until we went to sleep because she had a nightly fussy time even if she was in a sling.

Mei Tai Baby Carrier Review.

June 14th, 2007

I looked through many Mei Tai patterns and choose Beth’s Mei Tai (http://thosemartins.com/bmt/) because it had a nice head support feature, the pattern gave the layout for cutting and the pattern was all straight lines.
This was an easy pattern to follow (I am an avid sewer, but I would suspect even novice sewers could sew this pattern).

Target winter clearance- 75% off some clothing

January 8th, 2007

Target is having 75% off some of their winter clothing. This includes Oshkosh pants with adjustable waists starting in size 12 M for $3.25. On Monday, they were marking down the items to 75% off as I was purchasing them.

Although I usually don’t like some of the quality on clothing at Target, the pants that are on sale are a name brand and seem to be of good workmanship.

Most other stores are still at 50%- 60%, but watch ads over the next week as Martin Luther day sales approach. Target is having 75% off some of their winter clothing. This includes Oshkosh pants with adjustable waists starting in size 12 M for $3.25.

Most other stores are still at 50%, but this should change in the next week.

Freshening up clothing with mild stains.

October 23rd, 2006

Whether you’re taking clothes out of the closet for a new season, you want to spruce up clothing you purchased at a retail shop or garage sale, or you want to rid a new stain from your clothing, most stains in clothing can come out with a little extra work.

If you are taking clothing out of storage, there were a few things at work to cause stains in clothing that may not have been seen before they were stored. If the clothing was damp when it was stored, mildew may have formed on the clothing. Another major culprit is drool & sweat mixed with the air over time. This stain will cause yellow spots. Synthetic clothing releases a gas that can also cause discoloration.
