Target winter clearance- 75% off some clothing

January 8th, 2007

Target is having 75% off some of their winter clothing. This includes Oshkosh pants with adjustable waists starting in size 12 M for $3.25. On Monday, they were marking down the items to 75% off as I was purchasing them.

Although I usually don’t like some of the quality on clothing at Target, the pants that are on sale are a name brand and seem to be of good workmanship.

Most other stores are still at 50%- 60%, but watch ads over the next week as Martin Luther day sales approach. Target is having 75% off some of their winter clothing. This includes Oshkosh pants with adjustable waists starting in size 12 M for $3.25.

Most other stores are still at 50%, but this should change in the next week.

Freshening up clothing with mild stains.

October 23rd, 2006

Whether you’re taking clothes out of the closet for a new season, you want to spruce up clothing you purchased at a retail shop or garage sale, or you want to rid a new stain from your clothing, most stains in clothing can come out with a little extra work.

If you are taking clothing out of storage, there were a few things at work to cause stains in clothing that may not have been seen before they were stored. If the clothing was damp when it was stored, mildew may have formed on the clothing. Another major culprit is drool & sweat mixed with the air over time. This stain will cause yellow spots. Synthetic clothing releases a gas that can also cause discoloration.

Adjustable waist pants for children

September 26th, 2006

The skinny on adjustable waist pants. They look like normal pants, but have hidden, adjustable elastic like maternity pants; however, unlike maternity pants, they are made to fit skinny children, not growing bellies.

This type of pant is great for Skinny, no butt children like my daughter.

Great uses for Sam’s Club Micro Fiber Towels

July 31st, 2006

If you want to try a less expensive soaker for diapers, Sam’s Club has “Micro Fiber Detailers Best Towels” in a 25 count bag for $9.58. 1 bag of 25 towels is about the same price as about 3 micro-fiber soakers, and I have found them to work just as good. For about $.40 each it is worth the try to see if the “Ultra Absorbent” towels work for you.

Making a Baby Sling

July 24th, 2006

I recently made my first baby sling. I put my 22 1/2 lb. 19 month old in it, and she didn’t break it. I call it a success; however I will make a few changes on the next one.

Car Seat Reviews

July 13th, 2006

I found the following links for car seat reviews for size infant, combination, toddler & booster helpful when choosing a child car seat.

I have the Evenflo Triumph (MSRP $119) and would purchase it again based on the price being about $100 less than the Roundabout . I like that the sides have the impact foam and it is relatively easy to install (although not as easy as the Britax.) We have only taken the car seat out a few times over the past year so this is not a recurring problem. Currently, my daughter is potty training; I have had to remove the seat cover several times so I have also modified the car seat without taking away any safety features to make the seat cover come off easily.

Double strollers Weights with Open & Closed Dimsnsions

May 16th, 2006

My friend was looking for a tandem stroller so I started to research them for myself as well.

What I found was that there was a lot of information, but it was not in a nice neat location with all the data I wanted. I wanted to know the dimension of the strollers folded so to see if it could fit in my trunk, the open dimensions to know if it could fit through a doorway, and the extra features were so I could take in all the possibilities of all the stroller options out there.

Low sew/ No Sew stroller drink holder… for Mom & Child

May 10th, 2006

I think I found an inexpensive and good solution for a stroller drink holder for mom and cup & snack holder for baby. This solution will allow you to fold the stroller up with the containers still attached, while posing no problems in the folding of the baby stroller.

I don’t have a bottle holder on the Peg P3 nor does Belle have a cup holder. I also hate the Velcro or ribbon to tie the bag to the stroller. This item is dependent on the type of stroller you own. Measure the around the location you would like the drink, sippy, or snack bag to go and then add 2-3 inches for a tie off or overlap for Velcro.
